About us

After years of experience both in important local wineries and in foreign agricultural and wine production centres (Australia, Chile, New Zealand), we realised our dream of producing a range of wines according to our personal interpretation of making wine the old-fashioned way.

Andrea, Beatrice and Domenico

We are the first generation to produce wine – we planted the Barbaresco Meruzzano vines in Treiso and the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines for Alta Langa in Serravalle Langhe.

Our philosophy is to make tradition contemporary through the use of modern techniques, knowledge and skills gained through experience.

We are part of FIVI, Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti (Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers), an association that especially protects small winegrowers like us.

As they quote on their website “The Independent Winegrower cultivates his vineyards, vinifies his grapes, bottles his wine and personally oversees the sale of it, under his own responsibility, under his own name and label. Engaged daily in a process that follows the entire production chain, the Winegrower work constantly to preserve, protect and promote the territory to which they belong.” and we find ourselves very much in this definition.

The farmstead in which the winery stands, known as Cascina Ronchetti, already existed at the beginning of the 20th century and belonged to the Bongiovanni family, who already traded in their own grapes.

Runchét is Ronchetti in Piedmontese and we chose this word to represent us and to pay homage to Beatrice’s family.
